Charli Grace D'Amelio (/d@'mIlioU/ d@-MI-lee-oh;[2] born on May 1, 2004) is a popular American social media star. After participating in dance contests for 10 years before launching her social media career through posting dance videos to TikTok. The platform gained her a large following quickly, and soon became the number one creator of the video-sharing platform TikTok by March 2020. Khaby Lame surpassed her when she reached the top of the heap in July 2022. The debut of D'Amelio's voice came with the animation of 2020 StarDog TurboCat. Since the year 2021, she's starred in the Hulu documentary series, The D'Amelio Show, as well as her own Snap Original reality show Charli vs. Dixie. D'Amelio was a celebrity dancer in 2022 and was crowned the winner of Dancing with the Stars thirty-first year along with Mark Ballas. The actress has also written two books, launched a podcast and created an assortment of nail polish. Other projects include a clothing company and makeup line, mattress business that includes multi-products and an apparel company. She's the first person in history to reach both 50 million and a 100 million TikTok users. Forbes reports that D'Amelio is among the top-paid female TikTok personality of in 2019 and 2022. TikTok says she's the biggest star.
