Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. The beginning of her acting career came in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took some time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller role. It was difficult for her to transition to acting as models weren't considered an actor, so they usually got small roles. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger roles starting at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on more prominent roles. Amy achieved the fame she'd been seeking for over 10 years when her film, Just Friends was released. She continued to do major films, such as Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was loved as a recurring character.
