Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of abilities, which included the ability perform, direct, produce, write plays, teach, and be Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British and her mother was a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother perform in play rehearsals. She appeared in many commercials when she was a child. Anna relocated out of Toronto to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They became engaged in 2009 when they were married.
